Backend Engineer (Node)

Netbeau Company - founded in 2008 with over 15 years of experience and hundreds of active projects in different fields of activity - is looking to expand its team for future projects (there are projects both externally and internationally: Norway, Germany, France, Romania, USA and Canada).

We are looking for a skilled Backend Software Engineer to join our engineering team. In his role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing backend APIs using node.js, and RDBMS data models in Postgresql. You will also take on profiling and improving performance, and documenting our codebase. To ensure success as a backend engineer, you should have in-depth knowledge of all aspects of back-end software development, familiarity with RDBMS database design and implementation, excellent coding skills, understanding of design patterns and engineering best practices, and an understanding of how code and data queries impact performance.

The key responsibilities of the Backend Engineer will include:

• Building APIs and data models to support frontend web applications and API consumers.
• Writing application code in JavaScript using Node.js.
• Create and extend relational data models and implement them in PostgreSQL
• Work with frontend engineers to deliver end-to-end features
• Troubleshoot interfaces and debug applications
• Monitor and improve end-to-end performance

About You:

• In-depth knowledge of JavaScript, and experience with front-end languages such as CSS and HTML.
• Experience in building back-end APIs using node.js.
• Experience with RDBMS database design and implementation.
• Knowledge of testing frameworks such as Mocha or Jest.
• Experience with debugging and performance testing methods.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Good project management skills.
• Ability to research tools, libraries and solutions to solve engineering problems.
• Good written and verbal communication English skills.
