World Vision - Moldova Office is looking for a highly qualified and motivated person for the position of Finance Assistant: Moldova.
JOB PURPOSE:
Assist in preparing payments/transfers, maintaining the financial records, reconciling accounts, bank statements and reconciliation, cash managing and processing/reviewing journal entries and vouchers in order to ensure smooth functioning of WV UCR Finance and provide quality service, work closely with all relevant stakeholders.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
1 - Accounts Payable

Prepare Online Transfers / Cheques, Transfer Letters / Upload files
Upload EFT output file to the online bank / Prepare Transfer Letters
Maintain filing of records
Reconciling of accounts payable and Prepare Aging Reports for Supplier Accounts

2 - Travel & Expenses

Collect excess cash from employees and deposit in the Bank Account
Reconciling of advance accounts (Aging Analysis)
Maintain filing of records, related to Travel and Expenses

3 - Cash and Tax Application

Collection of deposits & any other receivables
Depositing of Cash/Checks
Preparing of various tax returns
Process tax payments
Maintain filing of records, related to Cash and Tax

4 - Payroll

Pay Payroll and other related tax
Upload Bank file to remit Payroll and other payments to staff accounts
Other Payroll related processes
Bank Correspondences

5 - Perform other duties as required

Attend and participate in capacity building trainings on financial management
Attend and participate in WVI spiritual nurture and other organizational events
Perform other duties as assigned by the Line Manager

KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE:

Minimum 1 year of experience in accounting position with medium business/medium NGO/government agency
Experience with humanitarian aid in-country is a plus.

Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification:

Degree or equivalent in accounting and finance or any relevant field
Practical knowledge of financial basics.
Knowledge of basic accounting principles is required.
Effective in written and oral communication in Romanian, working knowledge of English.
Requires good computer skills (Excel, World, Spreadsheets).
Must be self-motivated, innovation, able to work under pressure.
Basic understanding of business principles.
Be organized, accurate and able to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
