We are a Swedish company established in Chisinau as a subsidiary. We are in need of an accountant for handling of economic issues of the Moldavian Company and also some business reporting for the group’s total operation. We have operational units in Sweden, Moldova, Estonia and Senegal. It will be a full-time employment.
The accountant will serve as the primary contact for our finance unit in Sweden and will be handling all accounting activities in Moldova. Additional duties include preparing financial statement reports, coordinating payroll, and other responsibilities to maintain organized accounting systems. The reporting duties for the group will include responsibility for maintaining databases in Microsoft Access and preparing reports regarding financial and operational data.
The Accountant will also be a support for the Site Manager which will be the immediate supervisor. Candidates should possess two to five years of accounting or auditing experience and be fluent in English.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Handling and payment of invoices
2. Calculation and payment of salaries
3. Calculation and payment of social security contributions to government
4. Calculation and payment of corporate taxes and the handling of VAT
5. Current accounts according to rules laid down by authorities
6. Conduct of annual accounts in accordance with official requirements
7. Preparation of annual accounts in accordance with EU rules
8. Cooperation with the company's auditors in connection with the audit
9. Maintaining databases and preparing reports on financial and operational data
10. Other responsibilities as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
1. 2-5 years of related experience, performing a variety of hands-on accounting or auditing tasks.
2. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business or equivalent experience.
3. Fluent in written and spoken English
5. Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Access.
6. Strong reconciliation skills and extreme attention to detail.
