Dispatcher car hauling

Position Requires:

- experience (preferred)
- Verbal and written communications skills
- Rate negotiation and closing skills
- Basic computer proficiency ie. excel,email
- Ability to work full time
- Being on time, prompt, and prepared on a daily basis

General Duties:

- Booking freight and developing relationships with brokers and customers
- Staying up to date on freight trends
- Knowing backhaul/ head-haul markets and the relevant pricing
- Soliciting new shippers to gain direct freight
- Checking broker creditworthiness to ensure a prompt payment history
- Completing new customer setup packets
- Pre-planning your assigned drivers and tacking their daily moves (e. - Inputting rate confirmations into dispatch software)
