AGILE AUTOMATED TEST ENGINEER

Key Requirements:
You have previous experience in developing automated tests and frameworks using C#.
You have experience working with agile methods specifically Scrum.
You can explain in detail how you have performed automated testing within an agile environment using examples from your own experience.
You understand relational database concepts and can write SQL queries.
You will have a good knowledge of manual and automated testing process and techniques.
You understand the role of automation and are able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of the testing challenges faced.
You are an advocate of using test automation wherever possible.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop High Quality Automated Test Scripts in C# and XML
Work to defined iteration plan and task list
Producing test plans and test cases
Gather user/business requirements from product managers and work in an agile environment
Execution of Automated Test Suites
Investigation and replication of issues
Logging issues and defect tracking
Reporting of progress
Participation in daily scrums, and sprint planning/retrospective meetings
Contribute to improvements of the test process

Required skills:
Proven commercial experience in a testing environment, developing automated tests using C#
Some database understanding with SQL Server 2005/2008
Practical experience working as part of an Agile Development team; including unit testing and continuous integration techniques

Advantageous Experience:
ASP.NET, Web Services, Reporting
.Net technologies such as Silverlight, WPF and WCF
Scripting experience (PowerShell, VB)
XML, HTML
Use of Microsoft Team foundation server
ISEB/ISTQB qualified to Foundation level
