The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) role provides professional HR guidance and support to assigned internal client groups with the objective of building a highly engaged workforce and reducing risk to the business. This is a hands-on role that provides full cycle Human Resources support to assigned business functions or regions (EMEA) within the Global Pay SGWI organization. The role is critical in cultivating our desired culture, developing and executing our people initiatives, providing great internal client support, and driving HR functional excellence and process improvement.
The primary focus of the role is regional in scope, but includes working with teams and stakeholders in multiple countries.
Essential Functions
Talent Acquisition

Liaising with talent acquisition team and hiring managers to ensure local teams of EMEA Region are supported and fully staffed, with clear understanding and agreements of role requirements, budgets, and priorities.
Supporting the talent acquisition team and hiring managers as needed ensuring the job descriptions availability, if necessary, their update and/or replacement. Actively participating in the job offer processes and new job descriptions developing together with line managers.
Providing and maintaining an effective and consistent onboarding experience that reinforces culture and maximizes productivity and retention.

Employee Relations

Serve as primary HR point of initial contact on employee relations issues; escalate to HR Director as needed
Coach managers to motivate, appraise, goal set, performance manage, and discipline employees; schedule management conferences with employees; conduct disciplinary investigations; and counsel employees and supervisors
Coach both employees and mid and front line management through complex, difficult, and emotional issues
Support the company’s managers with risk management and consistent application of the Company’s policies and applicable labor laws
Provide high levels of service to the groups supported; understand colleagues opinions and anticipate their needs and concerns

Organizational Development

Partner with the local leadership to design proper team structures that reinforce inter- and cross-departmental communication and cooperation.
Assess and contribute to human resources needs in areas such as training, organizational design, workforce planning, talent acquisition, career pathing, succession planning, and employee leadership development; develop appropriate solutions.
Partner with the learning and development team to support training initiatives; deliver training when appropriate.

HR Process and Compliance

Work with local vendors to ensure an accurate and timely processing of payroll and benefits
Ensure legal compliance in SGWI practices in assigned regions by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource legal requirements, maintaining compliant records, and anticipating risk areas
Serve as the local expert on regional labor law and maintain up-to-date knowledge of HR related compliance topics
Ensure all documentation and practices are in line with current labor law
Review and benchmark the internal and external environment to improve the HR policies and initiatives to enhance overall business performance
Supporting Ad Hoc Health and Safety Requirements

Reporting and Metrics

Review and analyze business metrics including data on retention and employee experience in order to recommend systemic improvements
Provide compensation and benefits support including benchmarking and initial review of salary actions, promotions, and other job changes
Provide other HR analytics as required

Culture Champion

Work with divisional groups to assess, create, and implement innovative solutions for maintaining employee engagement; lead and contribute to engagement activities
Contribute to the business strategy and culture by helping identify, prioritize, and build organizational capabilities, behaviors, structures, and processes
Facilitate the continuing evolution of corporate culture for assigned business units in alignment with SGWI corporate values; act as SGWI ambassador

Other Responsibilities

Act as a trusted partner to management and a productive and collaborative member of a global HR team
Maintain close contact with the HR team to work in synchronization with the other business units
Lead and/or contribute to variety of projects both at corporate and business unit levels, as assigned

Qualifications

4 or more years’ progressively responsible work experience in a generalist HR Generalist/Business Partner role including experience with employee relations, labor compliance, performance management, and talent acquisition
Degree in related discipline preferred
Strong knowledge of Moldovan and EMEA labour laws; aptitude to quickly learn and apply laws and practices of other countries
Strong customer service orientation and a great attitude
Demonstrated ability in the following areas:
Strong verbal and written communication skills; including excellent counseling skills; the ability to relate to, influence, and coach employees at all levels in the organization; and to build strong relationships vertically and horizontally
Strong analytical skills, and experience using and presenting data to make decisions
Experience with complex HRIS systems desired. Ability to pull reporting and metrics
Ability to work well across different functions, geographies and cultures
Able to work both on a team and independently to deliver results
Experience managing cross-functional projects and initiatives
Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment with changing priorities and to navigate employees of all levels through a variety of organizational changes
Strong Microsoft Office skills
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and model the highest degree of moral and ethical behavior
