Knowledge

• Will have a good knowledge of the phonetic, lexical, semantic, and grammatical systems of foreign languages as well as the listening, reading, speaking, writing, and progressive communication techniques in the studied languages.
• Will be able to identify the diversity and complexity of linguistic, terminological, and translational notions, concepts, and phenomena, both in their interdependence and interference.
• Will understand the principles of written/oral translation and will possess good knowledge of the techniques and procedures of overcoming the lexical, grammatical, and stylistic difficulties of translation.
• Will possess good knowledge of the methodology of the theoretical-pragmatic research in the domain of fundamental disciplines.
• Will have good knowledge of the theoretical problems and the principles of language teaching.

Skills

• Will prove the competence of comparing structures and expression means in the studied foreign languages.
• Will carry out the act of translation, interpretation depending on the specific communication situation.
• Will apply techniques of consecutive and simultaneous interpretation in the studied foreign languages.
• Will use the logistic equipment designed for the translation and interpretation (computer, specialized equipment or interpretation), as well as will efficiently use the terminology software, electronic corpuses, electronic dictionaries, etc.
• Will master proofreading techniques of the translated text.
• Will design didactic activities and will correctly use new educational software in the professional teaching/learning activity.

Competencies

• Will adapt the acquired knowledge in specific professional situations.
• Will demonstrate interpersonal work skills (team spirit, communication and interpersonal skills, awareness of the importance of work quality) with respect for professional ethics and adaptation to new professional situations/conditions.
• Will manage their professional activity on the market (workload management, financial evaluation of provided service, associative life, quality and productivity of work reviews, communication with clients, etc.) and will promote the image of the contemporary translator/interpreter, having an appropriate attitudinal behavior.
• Will carry out individual creative work in the language teaching/learning process.
