Business Analyst

Our company has been operating in the market for 5 years, offering a logistics product for drivers in the U.S. market. It is an ecosystem of applications that provides clients with various information such as distance, time, and other relevant data.

About the Role
We are seeking a Business Analyst (BA) to join our team building web platform for the trucking and transportation industry.
Our product helps fleets stay compliant with FMCSA regulations while optimizing operations through a data-driven approach.
You will be the link between stakeholders, fleet managers, drivers, and our development team, ensuring requirements are crystal-clear, actionable, and aligned with both business goals and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather and analyze requirements from internal teams, customers, and regulatory guidelines (FMCSA).
• Translate business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, wireframes, and process flows for web applications.
• Document functional specifications, data workflows, and API requirements for integrations with telematics systems and third-party services.
• Collaborate engineers to define scope, priorities, and release plans.
• Facilitate backlog refinement, sprint planning, grooming sessions and stakeholder meetings in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Support QA & DEV teams by clarifying requirements and validating compliance-critical features.
• Analyze operational and compliance data to recommend product improvements.

Required skills & qualifications
Must-Have:

• 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in web application development.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proven experience in creating process documentation and business reports.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
• Expertise in requirements gathering, user story creation, and acceptance criteria definition.
• Hands-on experience with data-driven decision-making and working with analytics dashboards.
• Proficiency with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
• Ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience in trucking, fleet management, transportation, or telematics products.
• Understanding of FMCSA regulations, compliance workflows, and operational processes in trucking.
• Familiarity with real-time data flows and API-driven architectures.
• Experience in compliance-heavy SaaS products.
• Familiarity with analytics tools (Google Analytics, Power BI, Mixpanel, etc.).
