JOB DESCRIPTION: INTERPRETER/TRANSLATOR

Deadline: 30 September 2018

Job Objective:
To provide interpretation and translation services (Romanian/English – English/Romanian) for project purposes. (Project duration: 3 years)

Reporting to:
Team Leader, Project Director.

Responsibilities:
• To ensure top quality interpretation and translation of legal texts and project deliverables.

Key tasks:
• Providing Romanian /English – English/ Romanian interpretation services during meetings, workshops, seminars etc:
• Providing Romanian /English – English/ Romanian interpretation services for project deliverables such as inception and interim reports; training materials and handouts and presentations; project correspondence;
• Maintaining appropriate filing system (hardcopies and e-copies of project deliverables in English and Romanian;
• Other duties as assigned;

Essential skills and experience:
• Very good and proven interpretation and translation skills (oral, written) Romanian /English – English/ Romanian is key for the assignment;
• Experience working in an office is important and experience in an office working with international contacts or staff will be an advantage;
• Good computing skills;
• Diligence, good work ethic, punctuality;
• Attention to detail

Knowledge of the subject:
Knowledge of legal issues and/or a law degree will be an asset.

Time-Schedule:
This work will be for the complete project duration.
