Position location: Chisinau, Moldova
IREX, a nonprofit in international education and training, seeks a qualified manager to fill the position of Trainer to work on a US government-funded development program in Moldova.
ABOUT IREX:
IREX is an international nonprofit organization providing leadership and innovative programs to improve the quality of education, strengthen independent media, and foster pluralistic civil society development. IREX maintains more than 20 overseas offices. IREX programs in Eurasia include academic exchanges, Internet access and training, media reform, and professional training.

SUMMARY OF POSITION:
IREX seeks a qualified professional to assist in the management of the Internet Access and Training Program (IATP) in Moldova. The position will be based in Chisinau, Moldova.
Qualifications:
o High level of computer and Internet literacy (Windows OS, MS Office applications), familiarity with web development technologies, Windows network administration skills;
o Teaching experience;
o Fluent Romanian and Russian, basic English;
o Excellent communication skills;
o Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines;
o Professional demeanor.
The Trainer will perform the following services:
o Supervise daily work of Chisinau IATP Training Laboratory and offer necessary assistance to IATP users;
o Offer minimum of 10 hours of training per week (Computer Basics/Internet Basics/Web Design Basics);
o Maintain network and PCs at the Chisinau Training Laboratory, offer recommendations when purchasing hardware and software;
o Coordinate work of interns, ensure they offer training according to IATP standards;
o Collect and systematize IATP user information, success stories, and other statistics and requested by IREX;
o Assist Country Coordinator in preparation of monthly reporting.
o Develop training materials and curricula, Internet resources, and local language online communities;
o Assist local institutions to establish online presence, including websites, electronic publications, databases, archives, and electronic mailing lists;
o Attend and participate in IATP staff conferences and electronic mailing lists, and other meetings - as requested by IREX;
o Other duties as assigned.
