System Test Engineering

Mandatory Work Functions:
• Setting up Integration/Test Network Environments – Typically this would include PCs (Linux/Windows), Test nodes (Linux), Routers, Modems and associated test tools.
• Performing Routing / LAN Diagnostics and Trouble Shooting – continuously monitor functionality and availability of small and large Test Networks with a focus on the Test nodes.
• Understanding and modification of firewall rules on Test nodes and Routers.
• Understanding of encryption rules on Test nodes.
• Troubleshooting - Repair Test Network problems – caused by link connectivity / routing issues and incorrect Firewalls.
• Writing Test Plans based on list of features to be tested (Using Microsoft tools)
• Writing Test Scripts for Linux – to be used in Test nodes.
• Efficient ways in recreating Customer Problems in Test Network
• Performing System Testing including Repetitive Regression Testing
• Assisting in improvements of Test Network design to minimize test time
• Developing Troubleshooting Procedures which can be used in Test and Operational Networks
• Identifying Testing Tools and evaluating them with a focus on freeware
• Ensuring continuous operation of Test Networks
• Ability to work across time zones

Experience Required:
• 2 to 3 years of System Testing Experience with emphasis in TCP/IP, routing protocols (this includes hands on working experience with LAN protocol analyzers)
• Hands on working experience with Linux Systems (this includes ability to develop Linux scripts)
• Working knowledge of Wi-Fi networks
• Working knowledge of VoIP operations (Extensive knowledge of VoIP will be considered a major plus)
• Working knowledge of 2G/3G network operations (Extensive knowledge in this area will be considered a major plus)
• Good written and verbal communication skills

Education and Certification Requirements:
• Bachelor degree or equivalent – Engineering
