- Reporting to the Structural Superintendent
- Attend daily tool box talks
- Plot work packages against contractor scheduled work programs
- Monitor the progress of the contractor
- Accurately record all works completing daily, weekly and monthly construction reports
- Ensure all information is captured on the projects software and is accurate
- Act on any none conforming works or practices
- Alert the Structural Superintendent to any delays or potential delays
- Ensure all materials conform to the specifications and quality standards
- To be aware of all Health and Safety requirements as set out in the Project HSE Policy document and Operating Manuel and all updates and revisions of same allocating 20 - 25% of hrs worked to these tasks and to be aware on a proactive level of all and any HSE issues that occur on a day to day bases actively resolving and reporting such events
- Ensuring that you are fully aware of the Contractors planned scope of activity on a daily weekly and monthly schedule
- Liaise with Quality management to ensure that the specifications and quality standards are being achieved and adhered to in line with contract conditions
- In line with the project schedule monitor and record contractor’s progress in line with project schedule and key milestones
- Evaluate construction against drawings recording and reporting any deviation or change to agreed design
- To analyse the contractors workforce in terms of skills, suitability to operation and numbers deployed
- To analyse production man hours against overall production and against specific packages or special items reporting all variations
- Be aware of all site traffic, and ensure that procedures and traffic management are in place for movement in and around the overall site.
- To be aware of all materials brought to certified lay down areas and monitor that storage is managed in line with material types and requirement of the construction
- Ensure that all night working is clearly monitored and supervised in all respects
- All other duties and task as required by the Line manager
Requirements:
- Degree qualified with a minimum of 5 - 7 years experience working in construction site and experience of significant structural builds on large projects, infrastructure, mining, oil & gas etc.
- Been involved in large scale structural projects
- Experience of multi-cultural workforces
- Knowledge of industry regulations
- Resolving problems
- Conflict management
- Speaks English
