Among your responsibilities
Pentalog is looking for a good-experienced and passionate Software Production Engineer to join our team in Brasov agency.
Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Deploy software to Pre-Production and Production environments;
- Troubleshooting the application server environment when issues arise with deployment;
- Finelymonitorizeall aspects oftheproduction environment (Linux /Apache / MySQL):performance, tuning, configuration, error logs, etc;
- Recommends changes to procedures and operations;
- Perform post deployment smoke testing.
Mandatory technical skills
- Production support experience in a mission-critical environment is highly desirable: expertise in installation, configuration, tuning, and deploying applications;
- Previous relevant system administration experience and/ or software development – minimum 2 years;
- Operating systems: Linux (Ubuntu, Suse, etc.);
- Knowledge of Apache Web Server and Tomcat Application Server;
- Minimum knowledge of administering MySQL databases;
Optional technical skills
- A degree in computer science or equivalent qualification;
- Knowledge of Java/PHP application deployment process best practices;
- Any experience with cloud computing or virtualization concepts is a plus.
Non-technical requirements:
- Strong attention to detail;
- Very good communication skills,problem solving attitude, team work spirit, enthusiasm, self-confidence;
- Ability to multi-task and quickly adapt to changing priorities. Should enjoy operating in a fast paced and ever changing environment;
- Flexibility;
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken with the ability to participate in English-only meetings. Knowledge of French language is a plus
