Software Engineer – Image Processing and Analysis

Scopic Software (www.scopicsoftware.com) – a U.S-based software startup - is hiring software engineers with experience in image processing and analysis. The ideal candidates are intelligent, hard-working, passionate software engineers that want to do interesting work and help a young company grow. Scopic is a global company with personnel spread across several countries – mostly in Eastern Europe. Engineers work from the comfort of their home using a PC and internet connection.
Examples of projects we have done or are working on are:
• Face mapping. Taking the face from one image and mapping onto the body image (including face) of another person, blending and color correcting as required.
• Automatic partitioning of composite radiology scans. Analyze the image to determine the number of individual scans in the image. Slice the image up into individual scans.
Requirements:
• Some experience with all stages of the development process: (1) gathering user requirements (2) writing technical design documents (3) prototyping (4) software estimation (5) software implementation and (6) bug fixing.
• Image processing/analysis experience. Commercial experience is best. Will also consider university/personal experience.
• Experience with some SDK.
• Strong C++ programming skills.
• Good English reading and writing skills. Ability to speak is quite desired but not required.
• Bachelors degree or higher
• Home development machine and good internet connection.
