Social and gender expert

Position Summary
KEC International seeks candidates for a Gender and Social Expert position.
G&S expert will promote inclusive urban development by addressing the interconnected crises of climate change, pollution, biodiversity, and inequality.
The Gender and Social Expert will be responsible for providing technical gender and social inclusion, including integrating recommendations from the gender and social inclusion analysis into work plans and the monitoring, evaluation and learning plan. The position will also be responsible for facilitating and coordinating gender and social inclusion experts based in-country.
Responsibilities
• Lead the development of gender strategy for the project and conduct gender and social inclusion analysis.
• Provide gender and/or inclusive development support and capacity building for a range of partners and sectors.
• Lead efforts to improve people’s participation and leadership in urban governance and policy making through capacity development and gender responsive programming.
• Ensure gender and social inclusion analysis findings are incorporated in monitoring, evaluation and learning plans to inform gender integration in project activities.
Qualifications
• University Master or Bachelor Degree in Social.
• Minimum 5 years of experience on gender and social inclusion in implementing and managing development projects.
• Proven experience serving as a Gender Advisor or in a similar role is required.
• Experience providing gender and social inclusion focused capacity building support is required.
• Experience integrating gender and inclusive development into climate and environment programming in the urban setting is preferred.
• Experience coordinating and overseeing gender and social inclusion experts in Moldova is a plus.
