About Insight Forge Lab
Insight Forge Lab is a boutique data analytics and data science consultancy working with international B2C digital businesses. We partner with product-led companies to improve decision-making, optimize customer journeys, and unlock value from data across web and mobile platforms.
We are currently recruiting a Senior Product Analyst to support one of our key clients, a leading global Online Travel Agency (OTA). This role will focus on mobile app analytics and product insights, working closely with Product Managers and cross-functional teams.
Role Overview:
This role sits within the Mobile (Apps) Product Team and will support Product Managers across the full analytics lifecycle — from exploratory analysis and feature planning to post-release performance evaluation and experimentation.
The successful candidate will take ownership of a large portion of ongoing analytical work, covering:
- Core OTA conversion funnel analysis
- Social features (Chat, Social Events, Profile Completion, etc.)
- Feature tracking specifications and QA
- Dashboarding and insight communication
You will work independently day-to-day, while receiving guidance, reviews, and onboarding support from the Principal Analyst.
Key Responsibilities
Product & Feature Analysis:
- Work with Product Managers to refine and clarify analysis requests raised via Jira
- Assess feasibility, data availability, and tracking coverage before analysis begins
- Analyse historical user behaviour to support prioritization of new features
- Evaluate newly released features and recommend next actions based on data
Data Extraction & SQL Analysis:
- Identify relevant data sources, tables, and event tracking schemas
- Write clear, well-structured SQL queries to extract and transform data
- Ensure outputs are accurate, free of duplicates, and correctly represent user behaviour
- Validate assumptions and perform sanity checks on all results
Experience with any major SQL dialect (Snowflake, BigQuery, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, etc.) is acceptable — what matters is applied analytical usage, not the platform itself.
Dashboarding & Visualization:
- Build dashboards aligned with the analysis request and best visualization practices
- Choose appropriate chart types and maintain clean, readable layouts
- Ensure dashboards are reusable and easy for Product Managers to interpret
Insights & Communication:
- Write concise insight reports (typically in Loop), combining narrative with charts
- Translate data findings into clear, actionable recommendations
- Present and discuss insights with Product Managers and stakeholders
Tracking & Experimentation Support:
- Write tracking specifications for new features based on:
o Product requirements
o UI/UX designs (Figma)
- Define events, properties, and expected behaviours clearly and consistently
- QA tracking implementations in production across iOS and Android
- Support A/B testing:
o Add new experiments to existing Frequentist and Bayesian pipelines
o Interpret results and communicate outcomes
o Improve existing frameworks where appropriate
Required Skills & Experience
Technical & Analytical Skills:
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in Data Analysis / Product Analytics
- Strong SQL skills with real-world analytical application
- Experience building dashboards in Tableau (or similar BI tools)
- Solid understanding of:
o Conversion funnel analysis
o Customer cohort analysis
o Root-cause analysis
o KPI / business driver analysis
- Familiarity with A/B testing concepts (hands-on experience is a plus, not a must)
Business & Product Mindset:
- Ability to understand product context, not just numbers
- Experience working with Product Managers or Product Teams
- Comfortable operating in B2C, high-volume data environments
- Background in marketplaces, e-commerce, mobile apps, or digital products is highly relevant
Tools & Ecosystem (Nice to Have):
- Experience with dbt or similar data modelling tools
- Exposure to mobile analytics and event-based data (e.g. Google Analytics, Firebase, Segment)
- Familiarity with Jira-based workflows
Soft Skills:
- Fluent English (spoken and written)
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills
- Comfortable working independently and taking ownership
- Curious mindset and continuous learner in the analytics space
- Collaborative and able to integrate well within a small analytics team
Contract Details & Benefits:
- Contract length: 12 months
- Probation period: 3 months
- Remuneration:
o €3,000/month during probation
o €3,500/month after successful probation
- Location: Republic of Moldova
- Work setup: Fully remote
- Working hours: Flexible start between 09:00 – 11:00
You will receive a structured induction and ongoing support from the Principal Analyst, while being trusted to manage your own workload and responsibilities.
