Senior developer

Our online and mobile services are now used by more than 1,000,000 people every month.

Required skills:

* 5+ years experience of coding (could be PHP, Objective-C, C++, Java or any other language but preferably all of them! :)

* Strong XHTML, CSS, JavaScript (jQuery)
* Good understanding of SQL and database design
* Passion for UNIX

* Solid experience with using regular expressions
* Experience using source control tools such as CVS
* Good sense of humour is a must

Nice to have skills:

* Open Source contributor
* Experience managing Apache and MySQL servers on Linux
* SEO
* Experience with Google Maps/geocoding and Paypal APIs
* Experience with developing mobile apps (iPhone, Android, etc)
* Some Photoshop skills

The kind of questions you can expect us to ask you during the interview:

* Explain what happens when you open a typical webpage (TCP/IP network stack layers 2-7)
* How are MySQL indices implemented?
* What will /^(?:\d{2,})?a$/ match?
* How would you implement a hash (associative array) in your favourite language? What is the complexity of finding an item in your hash implementation?
* Why would you want to use salt when hashing passwords?
