"Quadra Digital" is looking for an analytical, results-driven back-end Java Developer to strengthen our team and who will work with his or her peers to develop the backend for our business instruments, to troubleshoot and improve current back-end applications and processes. As a Senior Software Engineer you will work with upper management to define software requirements and take the technical lead on projects as well as building new modules and developing existing ones for our projects.
You should have excellent communication, computer, and self management skills.
As a member of our team, you’ll work closely with our engineers to ensure system consistency, create more efficient programs and improve user experience. You should be knowledgeable, collaborative, and motivated.
Responsibilities:
*Compile and analyse data, processes, and codes to troubleshoot problems and identify areas for improvement.
*Collaborating with the front-end developers and other team members to establish objectives and design more functional, cohesive codes to enhance the user experience.
*Recording data and reporting it to proper parties, such as clients or leadership.
*Participating in continuing education and training to remain current on best practices, learn new programming approaches, and assist other team members.
*Taking lead on projects, as needed.
Requirements:
*Bachelor’s degree in computer programming, computer science, or a related field.
*Minimum of 4+ years experience as a Java backend developer
*Experience working in an agile environment
*Experience in the following databases: MongoDB, PostgreSQL
*Extensive experience in microservices development including unit testing and security.
*Strong knowledge of Java, Spring, Web Services, Design patterns
*Motivated, demonstrates initiative, team player, excellent communicator and problem solver, commercial awareness, client focused
*Focus on efficiency, user experience, and process improvement.
*Excellent project and time management skills.
*Strong problem solving and verbal and written communication skills.
*Ability to work independently or with a group.
*Willingness to sit at desk for extended periods.
