BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION
Performs a variety of security-related functions aimed at the protection of the U.S. Government property and personnel from fire, damage and theft. Controls entry of Embassy employees and visitors, thoroughly inspects each incoming vehicle, opening the gate only for vehicles authorized compound access. Must be vigilant and alert at all times to possible disturbances in order to prevent the entry of unauthorized persons onto the Embassy’s grounds.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
1. Completion of secondary school is required.
2. Minimum one year of police, military, or private experience in the field of security is required.
3. Level 2 (Limited Knowledge) speaking/reading English is required. This will be tested. Level 3 (Good Working Knowledge) speaking/reading Romanian and Russian is required.
4. Incumbents must be in excellent health and physical condition. Must be able to use tact and diplomacy when dealing with the public.
