Reefer Dispatch

At Dispatch Hub, we take pride in delivering exceptional logistics and transportation services across the United States. As our operations continue to expand, we’re looking for a Reefer Dispatcher with industry experience to help manage our temperature-controlled freight and ensure timely, efficient deliveries for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and dispatch reefer (refrigerated) loads to ensure timely pickup and delivery.
- Source and secure profitable refrigerated loads via load boards, broker partnerships, and carrier networks.
- Negotiate load rates and terms with brokers and shippers to ensure profitability.
- Monitor and track reefer shipments in real time, providing updates and resolving issues as they arise.
- Ensure temperature requirements and food safety standards are met throughout the transit process.
- Coordinate driver schedules and routes for maximum efficiency and compliance.
- Maintain clear communication with drivers, providing them with load details, instructions, and required documents.
- Handle urgent issues, last-minute changes, or emergency situations with a calm and solution-oriented approach.
- Work closely with the accounting department to ensure accurate billing and documentation.
- Build and maintain strong, reliable relationships with brokers, clients, and drivers.

Requirements:
- At least 1 year of experience in dispatching within the trucking or logistics industry.
- Hands-on experience with reefer loads or temperature-controlled freight is a strong advantage.
- Proficiency in dispatching software and load boards such as DAT, Truckstop, etc.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of reefer-specific regulations and best practices (temperature logs, FSMA compliance, etc.).
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt quickly to a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with DOT regulations and freight compliance.
- Computer proficiency: Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets).
- English proficiency (minimum B1 level) to ensure effective communication.
- Detail-oriented, dependable, and a proactive problem solver.
