React Native Developer (Supabase + Real-Time)

About the Opportunity

We’re building an ambitious new product — a mobile dating app inspired by Tinder, focused on fast, meaningful connections and a smooth user experience. The product is being built from the ground up using React Native for the frontend and Supabase for the backend.

Supabase provides us with a scalable PostgreSQL database, real-time features, authentication, and file storage — all while staying open-source and developer-friendly.

We’re looking for a motivated React Native Developer who’s excited to build a real product that will reach thousands (and eventually millions) of users.

Tech Stack:

- Frontend: React Native (iOS & Android)
- Backend: Supabase (PostgreSQL, Auth, Storage, Edge Functions)
- Real-time features: Supabase realtime + Edge Functions
- Other tools: Figma, Expo, GitHub

Your Responsibilities:

- Build and maintain features for the mobile app using React Native
- Implement key flows like onboarding, swiping, matching, and real-time chat
- Integrate with Supabase Auth, Realtime, and Database APIs
- Write clean, modular, and well-documented code
- Collaborate closely with the founders and designer to iterate on UX
- Participate in stand-ups and code reviews

Requirements:

- Minimum 1–3 years of experience with React Native.
- Experience integrating APIs (REST or GraphQL)
- Comfortable with mobile performance optimization and debugging
- Familiarity with navigation, deep linking, and state management
- Ability to work independently and communicate clearly
- Solid English skills (written and spoken)

Nice to Have:

- Experience using Supabase or Firebase
- Built or contributed to a dating or social networking app
- Experience with real-time chat or matching logic
- UI/UX sensibility or experience working from Figma designs
- Familiarity with TypeScript and Expo

Compensation & Benefits:

- 10,000 - 14,000 MDL per Month Base Salary
- 20 paid vacation days per year
