Job description
Perform all duties related to the procurement of goods and services specific to the requirements of the project. This position requires a proactive and very detail-oriented person who excels in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities

Verifies purchase requisitions by comparing items requested to master list; clarifying unclear items; recommending alternatives
Forwards available inventory items by verifying stock; scheduling delivery
Solicit quotes for materials and services (labor)
Prepares purchase orders by verifying specifications and price
Obtains purchased items by forwarding orders to suppliers; monitoring and expediting orders.
Verifies receipt of items by comparing items received to items ordered; resolves shipments in error with suppliers
Requisition checks/wire transfers to be sent to vendors for payments necessary to process orders and, authorizes payment for purchases by forwarding receiving documentation
Expedite orders to be delivered to designate warehouse according to the project schedule
Verify receipt of items at the designated warehouse in preparation for installation
Schedule and coordinate delivery of product according to the project schedule

Qualifications and experience

1 or 2 years purchasing experience (but not mandatory)
Strong Computer skills in Microsoft Office Products including Outlook, Excel, and Word
English is mandatory, Italian is a plus
