Project coordinator

The Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom is the German foundation for liberal politics and advocates for democracy, market economy, rule of law and human rights in more than 60 countries. The Foundation’s office for Southeast Europe is currently looking for a Project Coordinator, based in in Chisinau, Moldova. The Project Coordinator will be part of the part of the team under the Project Director, based in Sofia, Bulgaria.
Job description:
 Coordination of programmes in Moldova
 Drafting concepts for events and publications
 Event management and documentation according to the requirements of the Foundation
 Coordination of our partner contacts and outreach to potential cooperation partners as well as institutions
 Observation and analysis of the political situation in Moldova, briefing and consulting the Project Director on important issues in politics, economy, and society
 Writing political analyses and reports
 Submission of proposals for issues and organizational development of the work of the Foundation
 Assisting in PR work
 Evaluation of possible external funding sources
Application requirements:
− University degree (preferably law, economics, political science, social sciences, or similar)
− Professional experience in project management
− Ability to work independently
− Very good command of English and Romanian language, as well as at least a good understanding of German. Russian or other languages are an asset.
− Very good proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
− Ability to analyse political and socio-economic processes on the basis of liberal ideas and reform concepts
− Very good skills in writing and presenting
− Confidence to speak in public, including to media
− Willingness to travel
− Liberal mind-set
Desired additional skills:
− Experience in professional writing (journalism, blogging)
− Experience in moderation and facilitation
− Experience in educational methods
Knowledge about German politics and society in Germany is an advantage. Commitment to liberal values is a must.
