SALARY: *AEFM/EFM/MOH/NOR: (Position Grade: FP-6 to be confirmed by Washington). *Ordinarily Resident: Position Grade - FSN-8.

BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION
The time spent on duties of this position will be evenly divided between the Resident Legal Advisor (RLA) and Political/Economic (Pol/Econ) offices. The RLA portion will entail managing all administrative aspects of the RLA program – including maintaining accurate budget and financial information, organizing logistics of training events, technical assistance and other programs. Responsible for working with GSO to procure necessary goods and services, acting as liaison with institutional partners within the Government of Moldova and NGOs as well as other offices within the Embassy. On the Pol/Econ side, the position will involve researching all aspects of Trafficking In Persons in Moldova, liaising with Government of Moldova (GOM) agencies and with NGOs to determine GOM success in preventing trafficking, protecting victims, and prosecuting offenders. Presents regular reports of research and assists in drafting the annual TIP Report to Congress. Interprets for Embassy personnel and U.S. Government visitors.

SELECTION PROCESS

ADDITIONAL SELECTION CRITERIA:

1. Management will consider nepotism/conflict of interest, budget, and visa status in determining successful candidacy.
2. Current employees of the extended Mission serving a probationary period are not eligible to apply.
3. Currently employed US Citizen EFMs who hold a Family Member Appointment (FMA) appointment are ineligible to apply for advertised positions within the first 90 calendar days of their employment.
4. Currently employed Not-Ordinarily Residents (NOR) hired under a Personal Services Agreement (PSA) are ineligible to apply for advertised positions within the first 90 calendar days of their employment, unless currently hired into a position with a When Actually Employed (WAE) work schedule.
