ICS SE Technosoft SRL is a software development company (approximately 20 FTE) based in Chisinau, Moldova. The company is developing software for Technosoft BV (www.technosoft.nl) in the Netherlands and Technosoft Deutschland GmbH. Main goal is to produce, service and maintain several product market combinations in the Dutch and German market. As Technosoft is a growing company on the Dutch and German scale, with market leadership in some product market combinations and a clear market development strategy towards EU countries (and abroad), Technosoft seeks a manager operations who can further develop the Moldovan development company.
Job Description
The manager operations is the permanent leader of the local development teams (from 1 person up to several persons), each dedicated to a specific product, service or task providing the Technosoft organization, from out the location in Chisinau. The position is directly put under the responsibility of the Location Manager, who is not permanently present at the location. At the present time of this vacancy, the Location Manager is an ad interim filled in position. Where the Location Manager is responsible for the general management tasks, the Manager Operations is responsible for the demanded output of the teams at the location. The Manager Operations is responsible for the location during absence of the Location Manager. The career perspective of the Manager Operations might be going into the direction of Location Manager or even Director.
Responsibilities
• Recruiting, coaching and evaluating performance of team members
• Ensuring high quality of product and manage software development project risk
• Driving development process improvements in your team and beyond
• Managing multiple concurrent streams of development activity and align the development teams with the cross functional tasks
• Fostering a culture of innovation, execution and pride in excellence
Qualifications
• programming experience in a structured software development environment with significant bench time supporting large, enterprise-class solutions
• 4 years comprehensive staff management experience with a hands-on management style
• Must have significant proven experience with both UI development and backend development
• Experience with, and passion for agile development techniques, including valuing delivering working software over documentation, high cross team collaboration environment, simplicity, test automation, continuous integration, adaptive process.
• Excellent oral and written communications skills in English and preferably German (or Dutch)
• Ability to collaborate effectively in bigger or smaller teams and to communicate technology issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.
