HR-Consulting (www.search4staff.com) on behalf of its client, an international company is looking for candidates to fill the position of:
IT Specialist
The company:
A well-known international company.
The main duties:
Business applications support, network administration, user support, business support reporting, solution verification activities, and IT budget related activities
The responsibilities:
• Business applications support - Coordinates requirements collection from the business teams for regular application configuration updates. Implements all requested updates on a regular basis according to agreed schedule. Reports progress on a regular basis.
• Network administration – Maintains existing IT network, including servers, routers and links to other sites and to the corporate data centers. Handles back-up activities according to local policy;
• User support – Provides first level support for local users. Maintains PC’s, printers, copiers, UPS, and telephone systems. Ensures proper implementation of corporate IT policies, especially security policies. Assists users with a variety of technical issues;
• Verification activities – Tests new or enhanced programs that have been; developed for the market prior to deployment to ensure that the programs meet the stated business requirements. May assist the regional QA team on occasion;
• IT budgeting – Develops recommendations for equipment and software purchases and support agreements, negotiates with vendors to obtain best possible quotes and with the regional and corporate teams to determine the best solutions.
The requirements:
• A university or college degree in an IT related field;
• Minimum 2 years previous work experience in IT end-user support;
• Advanced verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of PC hardware and software, Windows operating systems (XP/7);
• Experience troubleshooting user problems;
• Experience maintaining a small business network;
• Experience with ACCESS, EXCEL, POWERPOINT, WORD, and other Microsoft Office applications (2007/2010);
• Experience with SQL (MS SQL Server) is an advantage;
• Experience with XML is an advantage;
• Microsoft or any other IT certification is an advantage;
• English - good conversational level (both written).
