The IT Manager's role is to ensure proper computer and equipment operation so that end users can accomplish business tasks. This includes receiving, prioritizing, documenting, and actively resolving end user help requests. Problem resolution will involve the use of diagnostic and help request tracking tools, as well as require that the individual give in-person, hands-on help at desktop, network and server level.
Requirements:
- 1 year of experience working in IT Field Support or IT System Administration.
- Good technical knowledge of network and PC operating systems, e.g. MS Windows, LINUX.
- Good technical knowledge of fundamental equipment like printers, scanners.
- Technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards.
- Practical knowledge to use diagnosis and monitoring tools.
- Good application or infrastructure support experience.
- Good experience with troubleshooting of hardware and software problems.
- Ability to work with tools and measurement devices.
- National certificate or diploma of a professional education in an IT related profession or another profession if substantial qualification is available.
