Investment Officer

Job Description: Finance in Motion GmbH is currently looking for an Investment Officer for its Representative Office in Moldova to assume the following duties and responsibilities:

- Monitoring and market analysis of the country’s economy and financial market
- Monitoring of financial/banking regulatory and supervisory framework and policy
- Analysis of financial sector developments
- Due Diligence of financial institutions
- Monitoring of (financial) performance of partner-banks and microfinancial institutions and managing of the relationship
- Identify capacity building needs in financial institutions (e.g. internal controls, risk management etc.) and coordinate closely with the Technical Assistance Team in Finance in Motion the design of respective programs/interventions
- Contribute to the regular and ad hoc reporting and to preparation of business plans and financial projections.

Qualifications:
- Degree in economics, business administration, (development) finance, or a related field
- Extensive experience in bank analysis
- Excellent knowledge of IFRS, BASEL Standards and Legal Covenants in debt finance
- Extensive knowledge of development finance, including microfinance and SME finance
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Strong analytical, writing and presentation skills
- Strong communication and intercultural skills

The candidate will be based in Chisinau. Travelling extensively to the countries of operations is an integral part of the position.
