a vacancy for the position of:


Health, Safety & Environmental Engineer

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Lead and conduct Project Risk Assessments;
- Develop and review project HSE plans and conduct project HSE guidelines, policies and regulations;
- Work with internal and external customers to ensure compliance with company HSE guidelines, policies and regulations;
- Support the Project team to ensure that all HSE issues are identified and resolved;
- Understand the components of HSE Management System and assist in its continuing implementation and maintenance;
- Develop, implement and maintain company HSE documentation adhering to local and state environmental, health and safety regulations. (National and International);
- Support the development of HSE audit programs and leads local / field / process audits;
- Support and lead incident investigations as assigned. Develop Lessens Learn and share results with Senior Management and the Workforce;
- Develop corrective actions to address negative trends and near messes;
- Ensure employees conduct job safety assessments on every job and that all personnel understand they are not to take risks and must refuse unsafe work (Stop Work);
- Provide direct coaching to improve safety performance and hazard recognition and remediation, provide feedback to supervisors and managers on all local and field audits.

Job specification:
- Education: Bachelor degree a must, with 3-5 years’ experience, qualifications / certifications a plus;
- Travel is required. Will travel to Giurgiulesti International Free Port on a regular basis;
- Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills. Must have past experience in creating (writing) HSE Plans (plus other Project related HSE documents);
- Be fluent in Romanian, Russian and English languages;
- Able to work on their own. Capable of building a strong HSE culture, plus lead and/or participate in diverse teams;
- Ability to determine root cause(s) of problems and develop resolution;
- Working knowledge of Behavior Safety Management and Management of Change process;
