Dispatchers (earn up to 3000$)

The role of the load planner is very important to keep the driver on track with his shipments. The load planner selects the loads that will best fit the driver’s area so he will not be dead heading a lot of miles and can plan to get him to loading and delivery in a timely manner.
Based on the potential, from 5 to 11 trucks per Load Planner

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Required: High school diploma or equivalent required.
Required: At least one year of transportation experience.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS/SAFETY CONSIDERATIONS:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk, working on a computer and on the phone. Able to handle working under stressful and time sensitive situations.

KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan and tender loads based on routing and financial parameters, per Driver manager preference
- Provide proactive communication on service failures and field requests for status updates on critical shipments to brokers and driver managers
- Prioritization on loads based on customer requirements, commitments, tractor and trailer availability
- Update broker if lumper or any extra charges are needed and obtain revised rate sheet
- Effectively communicate with the driver manager and other team members
- Monitor and ensure on time pickups and deliveries
- Routing drivers back when they require home time and/or maintenance to shop
- Working with customers to revise rates and charges when applicable
- If EFS /money code(from broker) is used, it needs tracked and invoice sent to driver manager
- Contact brokers for detention issues, request they pay it and obtain revised rate confirmation
- Request BOL from Driver manager if it is needed
