Dispatch supervisor

We are a US trucking company with a record of over 10 years. We are looking for a Supervisor/Manager for our dispatcher group. The potential candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience and should be knowledgeable about StepDeck and FlatBed trailers.

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and direction to the Dispatchers to ensure consistent execution of the daily dispatching processes for all operations across the assigned coverage area
- Maintain effective staffing and scheduling, including providing relief coverage of dispatchers as needed
- Promote an environment conducive to high morale and performance
- Develop Dispatchers through training, coaching and feedback
- Maintain regular communication with the Owner and provide weekly summary reports
- Planning and dispatching in an accurate and timely basis to meet established metrics
Working with management teams to ensure that scheduling, routing, and service are optimized and efficient
- Using software and tools to identify the lowest cost solution based on need
- Providing daily communication to management on labor and equipment needs
