Data base administrator

Duties and Responsibilities
Design, manage and implement database maintenance plans;
Evaluate and monitor databases to resolve performance issues;
Manage access and security at all levels of SQL Server;
Install upgrades and patches;
Will participate in documentation process;
Key Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Computer Technology or equivalent experience
2+ years as SQL Server DBA
Specialized experiences in SQL Server; advanced T-SQL queries coding/tuning, coding/debugging of (DTS, Stored Procedures, Functions, and Packages)
Experience in database partitioning
Must have solid understanding of relational data modeling concepts
Experience supporting development of web applications in a SQL/Server-application environment
Strong performance tuning skills at both the database and individual SQL levels
Strong experience with database backup and recovery methods in a production
environment
Strong problem solving and Analytical skills
Solid experience writing and debugging queries/stored procedures
Solid working knowledge of SQL/Server database parameters
Good working knowledge of Win/2003 operating system
Must be able to work in a team-oriented environment and as a member of the production support team.
Experience with financial institutions (financial queries) preferred
English
