Job Title: Fund-raiser/PR Assistant
Based at: Hospice Angelus Office, Stefan Cel Mare 123g, Chisinau
Reporting to: Director.
Qualifications required:

• Good command of Romanian, English languages
• Russian language will be an advantage
• Good organisational, communication and computer skills
• A heart for the cause

Qualifications desired:
• Background in fund-raising/PR/marketing

Background: Hospice Angelus was founded by Dr Isac in 2000 to pioneer hospice/palliative care for terminally ill patients in Chisinau. In 2008, Hospice Angelus began a partnership with Hospices of Hope, a UK charity dedicated to the development of hospice/palliative care in South Eastern Europe. The charity currently provides a home-care service for adults and children in Chisinau and needs to raise funds locally in order to develop the services further.

Summary role: To assist the director with the development of Hospice Angelus’s fund-raising activities in Chisinau in order to help provide the financial resources necessary for the development of the charity’s services.

Key responsibilities:
Fund-Raising
1. To identify and contact corporate, community and individual sponsors in order to obtain donations or gift in kind sponsorship)
2. To participate in the planning, execution and follow-up of charity fund-raising events such as concerts, charity dinners etc.
3. To plan and participate in community fund-raising (hospice day, stalls etc.)
4. To organize the placement of collecting boxes in retail and other outlets
5. To recruit, train and support volunteer fund-raisers

PR
1. To find ways of promoting the charity to the general public, local media etc.

Administrative

1. To maintain, develop and manage the fundraising database
2. To provide fundraising and donation reports.
3. To ensure that thankyou letters are sent to all donors
4. To prepare PR materials such as a leaflet about the services, newsletter and
Annual report

Personnel
1.To represent the charity and its philosophy both internally and externally.

Some training will be provided for the successful candidate by the UK Charity, Hospices of Hope, and the Romanian partner charity, Hospice Casa Sperantei
