Security Specialist

Orange Systems is looking for a new colleague to fill in the position of Security Specialist to work with our International Partners.

The Security Specialist is a critical role within the Security Operations team and is responsible for ensuring the ongoing determination of the current security environment, log and event monitoring, incident response, audit, and spot checks. The role is also heavily involved in the ongoing implementation and support of information security systems, policies, and processes, and to ensure business information systems and processes adhere to security policies and standards and comply with regulatory and customer requirements.
Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate a deep interest in Cyber and Information Security. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has been in the field for a while (3+ years) and looking to take on more responsibilities to develop their career.

what you will be doing:

• Ensure that the company’s IT systems and data is always kept secure
• Primary responsibilities are vulnerability management, security event detection and remediation
• Perform ongoing identification of potential risks & probable business impact
• Recommend and initiate controls to protect against identified risks
• Participate in and occasionally lead the security incident management process and the investigation of breaches of information security and recommend appropriate control improvements
• Responsible for deployment and management of security systems and security software
• Assist in the selection, design, justification, implementation and operation of information security controls and management strategies
• Promote, information security awareness across the organisation
• Respond to help desk and planned work requests ~ resolve or manage problems of a complex or urgent nature
• To assist in designing and documenting infrastructure support processes, procedures, and standards and to maintain documentation as directed

what we are looking for:

• Any relevant industry certifications (i.e. CompTIA Security+, (ISC)2 SSCP, AZ-900 Azure Fundamentals, AWS Certified Security) will all be considered
• Excellent knowledge of the Security industry
• Knowledge of ISO27001:2022 standard, GDPR
• Knowledge of security frameworks and methodologies such as CIS, NIST SP 800-53, NIST SP 800-61, OWASP top 10
• Excellent commercial awareness
• Infrastructure background
