Role

• Ensure the reliability, scalability and security of Purcari’s cloud and on-prem environments.
• Design, build and own our automation tool-chain—CI/CD pipelines, IaC modules, observability stack and incident-response processes.
• Operate a hybrid infrastructure: Azure / AWS clouds, edge compute in vineyards, and on-site datacenter & manufacturing networks.
• Mentor junior DevOps engineers and champion a culture of continuous learning and blameless post-mortems.
• Participate in a shared on-call rotation to diagnose and resolve production issues.

Responsibilities

• DevOps Lifecycle - Orchestrate seamless collaboration between development and operations teams throughout build-test-release-operate stages.
• Automation & IaC - Implement Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Pulumi or CloudFormation) and automate provisioning, deployments and testing.
• CI/CD - Design, implement and maintain robust pipelines (GitHub Actions, CircleCI, Argo CD, Tekton).
• Cloud & Containers - Manage and optimise multi-cloud Kubernetes clusters, Docker images, service meshes and autoscaling policies.
• Monitoring & Logging - Build and tune unified observability (Prometheus/Grafana, Loki, ELK, OpenTelemetry).
• Incident Management - Lead troubleshooting, root-cause analysis and permanent fixes; drive SLO/SLA adherence.
• Security - Enforce “shift-left” security, harden supply chain, manage secrets, run vulnerability scans & policy as code (OPA, Kyverno).
• Networking & Hardware - Support LAN/WAN, fibre, Wi-Fi and factory-floor equipment; assist with small datacenter operations.
• Mentoring - Guide junior engineers, document best practices and evangelise DevOps culture company-wide.
• Continuous Improvement - Stay current with emerging tools and practices; prototype and introduce innovations that enhance developer productivity and system resilience.

Requirements

• 5 + years of hands-on DevOps / SRE experience in production environments.
• Expertise with Kubernetes and container ecosystems (Helm, Kustomize, Operators).
• Strong IaC skills with Terraform (preferred) or CloudFormation/Pulumi, plus configuration management (Ansible, Chef, or similar).
• Proven track record designing and running CI/CD pipelines and test automation frameworks.
• Deep knowledge of at least one major cloud provider (Azure or AWS) and familiarity with hybrid/on-prem setups.
• Solid grasp of Linux internals, networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, HTTP, VPNs, firewalls), and hardware basics for small datacenter operations.
• Experience building comprehensive monitoring, logging and tracing solutions.
• Competence in one scripting language (Bash, Python, Go, etc.) and ability to contribute to tooling.
• Strong troubleshooting and performance-tuning skills; comfortable analysing production incidents under pressure.
• Understanding of security best-practices: IAM, secrets management, container hardening, compliance controls.
• Excellent documentation habits and a passion for knowledge-sharing and mentorship.
• Bonus: exposure to industrial IoT, edge computing, drone operations or manufacturing networks.
