Senior Android Developer

Orange Systems is the IT hub of Orange Moldova. An IT park resident, with over 850 employees, we deliver advanced IT solutions that power full-cycle development and impact millions of customers across Europe.

We are currently looking for a Senior Android Developer to join our team and contribute to exciting international projects, including applications for both Android Phones and Android TV.

what you will be doing:

• Design and develop high-quality native Android applications (Phones and TV) using Kotlin
• Provide technical expertise and actively participate in architectural and design discussions
• Review code, ensure adherence to coding standards, and support team knowledge sharing
• Release and manage applications in the Google Play Store
• Monitor application performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure stability
• Collaborate with product, design, and QA teams to build user-friendly experiences
• Continuously improve development workflows, tools, and delivery processes

what we are looking for:

• University degree in Computer Science or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in developing, publishing, and maintaining Android applications
• Strong Kotlin skills and hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose
• Solid knowledge of architectural patterns such as MVVM and why they matter
• Proficiency with Kotlin Coroutines, dependency injection (e.g., Hilt), and data binding
• Experience with CI/CD systems and writing automated tests
• Agile mindset with experience working in Scrum teams
• Strong English communication skills (written and spoken)

Nice to have:

• Experience with Android TV development
• Familiarity with video playback technologies (e.g., ExoPlayer)
• Exposure to white-label applications or Kotlin Multiplatform
• Experience automating parts of the deployment and release process
