QA Manual Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Runs manual API tests using Postman, based on specs obtained during development.
• Runs manual application-level (UI) tests (mobile, web app).
• Runs automated API tests using Postman automation (or JMeter?).
• Generate reports.
• Load Tests: summarize endpoint metrics
• Machine-level metrics: CPU, memory, storage, IO-queue depth
• App-level metrics: throughput, latency, error rate, queue lag
• Works with developers and stakeholders to understand what needs to be tested, and what constitutes a success or failure.
• Ask engineers to report any additional metrics that are required.
• Manages the test plans.
• Manages external testing services.
• Working with cloud services.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in manual testing of software applications
• Experience with defect tracking and test case management tools
• Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
