IT Help Desk & Software Developer
Business Plane Logistics, an international company specialized in time critical shipments worldwide, with its headquarters based in Chisinau, is looking for a motivated individual who is ready to put their problem-solving skills to work.
We are seeking a versatile IT Help Desk & Software Developer to join our logistics company. This hybrid role combines IT support and administration with software development responsibilities. The ideal candidate will ensure smooth day-to-day IT operations for employees while also contributing to the design, development, and maintenance of our internal tools.
Software Development responsibilities
- Participate in the development and continuous improvement of custom-built internal operations tools.
- Design, develop, test, and maintain applications using Node.js, Express.js, React, and PostgreSQL.
- Troubleshoot and resolve bugs in both development and production environments.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Contribute to team meetings, code reviews, and best practice discussions.
- Provide first-line IT support for employees, handling hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
- Set up and manage user accounts, email addresses, and access rights in multiple company tools.
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot laptops, desktops, monitors, printers, and phones.
- Track and manage IT equipment inventory; coordinate repairs and replacements as needed.
- Ensure systems and devices comply with company IT and security standards.
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes with smooth technology integration.
- Assist in implementing and maintaining basic IT security measures.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of experience in IT support or system administration.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 administration.
- Knowledge of Windows and MacOS operating systems.
- Proficiency in modern full-stack development: Node.js, Express.js, React, PostgreSQL.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to manage priorities and balance both IT support and development tasks effectively.
- Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests
- Portfolio of developed projects
- Previous experience in IT support, help desk, or similar role is an advantage.
