Position description
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Country Manager to launch and develop SuperMart operations in Moldova from zero. You will be responsible for launching the local presence, building a top team and sustainably growing sales. It is a strategic role, but also very hands-on – ideal for someone who loves to build and deliver results quickly.

Key responsibilities

Strategic leadership & business

• Implementation of the company’s strategic plan in Moldova, aligned with HQ objectives
• Sustainable revenue growth and constantly challenging the status quo
• Monitoring local trends, competition and legislative changes, with proactive strategy adaptation

Operational management

• Coordination of all departments (sales, marketing, logistics, customer service, compliance)
• Compliance with HQ policies and local legislation
• Budget management, P&L and reporting to headquarters

Team leadership

• Recruitment and leadership of an outstanding local team (you choose the people)
• Creating a culture of accountability, innovation and customer orientation
• Training, coaching and continuous professional development

External relations

• Representation of the company to partners, associations, authorities and the press
• Development and maintenance of relationships with key clients, suppliers and partners
• Excellent collaboration with headquarters teams

Mandatory requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in management positions with full responsibility
• Proven experience in scaling operations, business development and successful launches
• Very good knowledge of the business environment, culture and legal framework in Moldova
• Exceptional leadership, communication and negotiation skills
• Romanian and English at fluent level (written and spoken)
• Higher education (Business, Management or similar field)
