Business Development Manager

Nutrimax – a leading player in the animal feed and pet food industry across the region – is looking for a Business Development Manager to support its expansion in Moldova through on-the-ground research and market intelligence.

This is not a typical desk-based role. We are seeking a sharp, curious, and proactive individual who is ready to go out into the field — to visit farms, explore distribution points, speak with stakeholders, and gather real-world insights on Moldova’s animal farming and feed landscape.

You will explore segments such as pig farming, dairy and beef cattle, and poultry, identify the key players and challenges, and help us understand the specific needs of Moldovan farmers and distributors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-depth, field-based market research to identify and map out farms, feed usage, and local demand
• Visit farms, production sites, and retail/distribution points to gather practical insights
• Analyze the structure and dynamics of the livestock sector (pigs, poultry, dairy/beef cattle)
• Identify local stakeholders, partners, and competitors
• Explore current feeding practices, product needs, and market gaps
• Collect, structure, and report information in the form of market reports and recommendations
• Investigate regulatory requirements and import/registration procedures for feed and additives
• Collaborate with our HQ and regional teams to support strategic decision-making
• Use online tools, local networks, and platforms like ChatGPT for intelligent research and insight gathering

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience in agribusiness, sales, or market research
• Ability to search for and analyze information, both online and through field visits
• Willingness to grow and develop in the field of animal husbandry and feed (considered a strong asset)
• Willingness to travel frequently, with a high level of independence and self-organization
• Analytical mindset and strong communication skills

Location & Travel:

• Based in Moldova (preferably near Chișinău, Bălți, Cahul, or key agricultural regions)
• Frequent travel within the country to farms, distributors, and industry contacts

Languages:

• Russian – B2
• English – Upper-intermediate (B2+) or higher
• Romanian – a plus
