Back-end (Node.js) Developer

We are a dynamic organization maintaining robust backend services running on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). These services are critical to our operations and are entering a maintenance phase. We are looking for skilled, self-driven backend developer with 2-3 years of experience to ensure stability, performance, and ongoing enhancement of our systems.

Job Responsibilities:

• Maintain and optimize backend services built on Node.js.
• Collaborate with distributed teams to ensure stable operations.
• Resolve bugs and implement minor feature updates in the existing codebase.
• Provide L3 technical support, assisting with in-depth troubleshooting and resolving complex backend issues.
• Monitor performance and reliability of services running on GCP, proactively addressing potential issues.
• Ensure effective logging, monitoring, and alerting backend services.

Job Requirements:

• 2-3 years of backend development experience, primarily using Node.js.
• Hands-on experience with GCP services like Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, Firestore, or Compute Engine.
• Understanding of asynchronous programming and RESTful API design.
• Ability to conduct root cause analysis and resolve critical technical issues.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like Google Cloud Monitor, Stackdriver, or similar.
• Proven ability to work autonomously, take ownership of tasks, and deliver results with minimal supervision.
• Strong organizational skills to prioritize and manage workload effectively in a remote environment.
• Strong communication skills for working with distributed teams.
• Experience troubleshooting and working with existing codebases.
• Basic knowledge of CI/CD workflows and automation scripting.
• Understanding of backend performance optimization techniques.
