IREX seeks a qualified professional to assist in the management of the Internet Access and Training Program (IATP) in Moldova. The position will be based in Chisinau, Moldova.
Qualifications:
- High level of computer and Internet literacy (Windows OS, MS Office applications), familiarity with web development technologies, Windows network administration skills;
- Teaching experience;
Fluent Romanian and Russian, basic English;
Excellent communication skills;
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines;
- Professional demeanor.
The Trainer will perform the following services:
- Supervise daily work of Chisinau IATP Training Laboratory and offer necessary assistance to IATP users;
- Offer minimum of 10 hours of training per week (Computer Basics/Internet Basics/Web Design Basics);
- Maintain network and PCs at the Chisinau Training Laboratory, offer recommendations when purchasing hardware and software;
- Coordinate work of interns, ensure they offer training according to IATP standards;
- Collect and systematize IATP user information, success stories, and other statistics and requested by IREX;
- Assist Country Coordinator in preparation of monthly reporting.
- Develop training materials and curricula, Internet resources, and local language online communities;
- Assist local institutions to establish online presence, including websites, electronic publications, databases, archives, and electronic mailing lists;
- Attend and participate in IATP staff conferences and electronic mailing lists, and other meetings - as requested by IREX;
- Other duties as assigned.
