Testing Team leader

Our partner is an energy management solutions provider for international clients (both end customers and well-known suppliers). With a powerful research and development strategy, they are able to offer competitive hardware and software solutions on 3 different continents.
In a multicultural and dynamic context, the partnership with this company has developed along the years. Previous successful results brought the opportunity for a new, complex and interesting project. A dedicated team of 15 experienced developers are on this same mission: to match the vision of the client with a high quality software product.
In order to extend this team, we are looking for a Testing Team Leader with minimum 5 years in day-to-day man management in a testing team environment including motivation and organization of team members.
Your profile:
Working closely with project management, the Testing Team Leader is responsible for the day-to-day organization of the testing team, as well as managing own software testing responsibilities. You have excellent communication skills and are able to establish working relation with immediate staff and other staff in the business.
Your main responsibilities and duties will involve:
- Planning and resource estimation of testing projects;
- Understanding of applications functionalities;
- Execution of test plans, including design and execution of own test scripts;
- Bug-tracking;
- Optimization proposals in order to achieve a maximum performance and ergonomics;
- Keep close contact with the development teams throughout the full defect life cycle to ensure that all issues are reported;
- Occasionally carry out own research and keep up-to-date on best practice software testing methodologies and systems;
- Occasionally provide strategic input into the long-term testing team planning.
Requirements:
- Understanding the functional specifications of the product life cycle of an IT project;
- Strong leadership skills including examples of coaching, mentoring, conducting appraisals and motivation;
- Good knowledge of testing practices, processes and approaches;
- Experience of planning, estimating and executing testing projects;
- English – advanced level: mandatory;
- Strong written and verbal communicator;
- Availability for business trips.
