Technical expert

TECHNICAL /EXPERT STAFF in frames of EU-funded cross-border Large Scale Project on Inventory, Assessment and Remediation of Anthropogenic Sources of Pollution in the Lower Danube Region of Ukraine, Romania and the Republic of Moldova.

The overall objective of the project is to reduce the environmental impact of chemical dumps and wastewater discharges in the Lower Danube region as well as enhance environmental monitoring of soil and water pollution and make the information publicly available.
The specific aims are:
• To improve knowledge of the current state of chemical dumps and wastewater discharges in the Lower Danube region and establish priorities on how to reduce or eliminate them;
• To reduce pollution of the Danube from wastewater discharges; and
• To increase public awareness about sources of soil and water pollution.

Job tasks:
- EPPO planning of operations and activities, such as financial, procurement and logistical ;
- EPPO project coordination and communication with the lead partner and other project partners, including participation at the meetings of the project steering committee;
- Elaboration of narrative and financial reports; and
- Organise tender procedures and approving supply, equipment and service contracts for the project activities in Moldova on behalf of EPPO
- Organisation of specific events within the project related to Task 1 (expert meetings, conferences, round tables) as needed;
- Report to the Project Coordinator about progress on and obstacles in Task 1.
