Stone fruit production specialist

DAI, an international consulting firm based in the United States, is currently accepting applications for the Stone Fruit Production Specialist position for a short-term assignment, with possibility of extension, within Agricultural Competitiveness and Enterprise Development Project (ACED), co-funded by United States Agency for International Development (ACED) and Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC).

The Stone Fruit Production Specialist will work with ACED Production Training Specialist for providing support for training and technical assistance services to fruits producers, especially those producing stone fruits to increase the profitability of their operations by increasing the production and meeting the needs of consumers on local and export markets.

Qualifications:
- Advanced degree with at least 3 years of related technical experience in fruit production with focus on stone fruits;
- Advanced knowledge of phyto-sanitary and plant protection products available on the market;
- Ability to develop integrated pests management plans for various fruit crops;
- Ability to collect, analyze, communicate, present, and make effective working relations with staff and beneficiaries;
- Strong planning and organizational skills;
- Computers skills required for the preparation of the presentation of technical programs and on-line research;
- Proficiency in written and spoken English is preferred.
