Software Engineers

Tacit Knowledge LLC, an American software consultancy with offices in San Francisco and New York, is looking for smart and effective software developers to join its team in Chisinau. We are looking for well-rounded developers who have excellent communication and problem solving skills in addition to a strong foundation in server-side Java development and design.

If you would like to:
* Work on a diverse set of projects and learn new technologies
* Design and implement enterprise systems
* Solve tough J2EE stability and performance issues
* Refactor large, unfamiliar codebases
* Estimate the planning and implementation of large components of a project
* Create elegant database schemas that model complex business problems
* Use OO metrics and tools to analyze and visualize software architectures

... and you have:
* Strong Java skills and object oriented design experience, including working knowledge of core libraries, design patterns, and J2EE APIs
* Knowledge of HTTP session management, object relational mapping, XML web services
* At least 2 years "hands on" working development experience in building object oriented software
* Practical experience with SQL, data modeling, and modern RDBMS mechanics
* The ability to effectively use tools and utilities for development and troubleshooting
* Experience with systems integration concepts such as declarative versus procedural, asynchronous versus synchronous, etc
* Strong written English skills

Knowledge in the following areas are an advantage:
* Experience supporting commercial applications running on any of the following application server platforms:
- ATG Dynamo
- BEA Weblogic 6.0 or above
- IBM Websphere 5.0 or above
* A thorough knowledge of TCP/IP and Unix fundamentals
* Experience with Scrum or other agile software development process

Tacit Knowledge offers a best-of-class working environment and compensation ($1200-2400/month, depending on experience, plus an advantageous system of bonuses).
