Create and Curate content from a wide variety of digital platforms (social media, aggregators, and original publishers), to be edited and posted on the platform on daily bases.
Monitor trending topics (sports, music, food, entertainment and pop culture) and craft short, stackable content in the voice the brand; possess a keen eye and filter to determine which content should be posted, and most important what topics should be covered.
Research and fact check quickly
Skilled in Internet usage, searching and data mining; intermediate level of word processing and spreadsheets; understanding of web-based applications and ability to learn and create content using in-house technologies.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Digital Media, Communication, Marketing or related discipline
• Preferably 1 year of social media experience
• Have a passion for digital news, online trends
• Capacity to multi-task while prioritizing projects and managing deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong visual and photo research skills
• Creative and proficient writing, editing and communication skills.
• Photoshop design
• Deep understanding of social media and how best to position content specific to each platform
• Microsoft Office
Key responsibilities include:
• Active online presence and familiarity with social media (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc
• Use a range of analytic tools to identify trends stories, track the progress of the stories published and evaluate performance after the fact
• Comfortable and confident backing up editorial decisions with both data and judgment
• Experience writing copy for social media and blogs - Creative, diplomatic, and calm under pressure - Self-motivated, proactive, and a self-starter.
