Role and responsibilities
Generic responsibilities
Adhere to NRC policies, tools, handbooks and guidelines
Assist with the implementation of the support function portfolio according to plan of action
Prepare and develop status reports as required by management
Ensure proper filing of documents
Promote and share ideas for improvement of the support function
Responsible for: assessment, vulnerable beneficiary selection, project planning, implementation and monitoring for shelter construction activities
Collection and analysis shelter data and report to shelter officer.
Generate timely reports (weekly, monthly, and as needed).
Specific responsibilities
Conduct on-site assessments in regions/villages to identify needs, resources, shelter types, and data on refugees and vulnerable host communities.
Identify vulnerable families eligible for shelter assistance based on established criteria.
Monitor rehabilitation works by contractors, daily laborers, or repairs by project participants.
Oversee shelter repair activities within agreed timeframes.
Participate in field missions and provide monitoring and technical assistance to beneficiaries.
Maintain comprehensive documentation for shelter beneficiaries at both field and office levels.
Report progress to the Shelter Officer upon successful completion of repair stages.
Any other task relevant to the position as requested by the shelter Technical Officer
Competencies

Be ready to work in complex contexts.
Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities.
Knowledge of shelter repairing.
Context/ Specific skills, knowledge and experience:
1 year of working experience with communities.
Basic knowledge of construction/repairing work.
Good communication skills.
Fluency in Romanian, Ukrainian / Russian preferred
Behavioural competencies
Handling insecure environment
Planning and delivering results
Empowering and building trust
Communicating with impact and respect
