Senior quality assurance engineer

Requirements:
• Experience (2-4 years) in testing Content Management Systems and mobile apps.
• Experience (2-4 years) in executing the key processes to meet the testing and performance needs of various platforms including functionality, regression, and usability tests
• Fundamental knowledge of the use of test tools, system test setup, testing processes and their automation, data acquisition and reporting, of test-related failures is required.
• Experience with load and stress testing of web applications.
• Knowledge and proficient use of fundamental concepts and procedures of software engineering and testing.
• Experience with back-end, front-end, and connectivity components of framework-driven web applications
• Strong ability understand project specifications and adapt to various technologies and frameworks
• Good understanding of clustered and distributed system environments
• Comfortable using both Windows and Linux environments
• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelors degree in a technical field such as computer science or computer engineering preferred

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities :
• Meet with project teams early on to identify potential downstream needs, risks etc., early on and communicate these clearly to the project team in an actionable way
• Identify project QA needs and plan QA team structure accordingly around project needs
• Check in with other leads to ensure that unit and system tests are being conducted by developers during actual code development
• Responsible for making sure issues are being raised and escalated by team members during weekly meetings
• Be hands-on as needed and as required and leverage these opportunities being closest to the work to help define priorities and gaps to be addressed
• Identify and implement QA process and tool improvements that lead to increased workplace productivity
• Review and approve testing strategies and plans for all projects with QA needs
• Review quality and delivery metrics and track the quality of services delivered
• Coordinate work across multiple teams to develop, update, and implement contingencies to meet changing project or service needs
• Ensure that the appropriate test infrastructure and tools for project teams are delivered
