Senior Java Developer

Looking for Sr. Java developer.

Location is Chicago , IL .



Core Competency:

* Very experienced Java programmer
* Java/J2EE UI developer
* Deep experience with JSPs (experience with JSF would be a plus)
* Experience with Java Servlet programming and Apache Tomcat
* Deep experience with one of the following J2EE UI frameworks: Struts or Spring MVC
* Experience with a reporting framework such as BIRT or Crystal Reports



Operating system experience:

* Comfortable functioning in both Unix and Windows.



Miscellaneous experience:

* Appreciation for the importance of good applications and systems architecture
* Experience with real-time programming
* Data communications
* Experience with multi-threaded programming
* Experience implementing Web Services and XML
* Strong math background



RDBMS experience:

* Good experience with a major RDBMS system such as Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, or mySQL (experience with DB2 would be particularly valued)
* Proficient in SQL and DDL



Must have:

* Able to program and implement systems at a very detailed level
* Able to work autonomously and not get off track or off mission
* Able to keep a vision of the big picture and think ahead to anticipate problems
